So, love the ambiance. Very kitchy and individualistic wa decor.The service was good and attentive. It wasnt super busy though.The food was very good. I had the Baked Halibut Burrito which was shredded halibut with beans, cheese, and sauce. The mole drizzled on the top was good. I wouldnt get it again only because I was hoping for baked halibut filets in the burrito. The beans overwhelmed the halibut and so lost the flavor.The salmon giler entrees at the table were over cooked in my opinion.Great beer choices and drink options. The Bake Mistake is a perfect fruity drink if you like rum and sweet fruit juice.

Oh my Gosh! The Surf and Turf was so yummy! Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Josh was our server and he was a great waiter! The building has so much character, exactly what you would expect from this area!

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Foods and beer also taste good... nice place to hang out too

Phenomenal food!! Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to. The elk and yak was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. The decor is very rustic and unique. I'll definitely be back! Big thanks to Ely for the awesome service!

Overall, a good meal. Friendly service, fresh food, nice decor to fit the area. There were two disappointments, though. First, how can you pair a very tasty salmon dip appetizer with Ritz crackers? Come on! Make a home made crostini or bread chip. Totally took the mojo out of the dish. Second, the fish n chips was very tasty and moist, but really needed a towel to soak up an excessive amount of grease. Basic stuff, guys. Come on! This good meal could easily have been really great.

The Bake is a Bar restaurant with a large food & beer menu. I've had some excellent meals and some ok meals. Sometimes they may have live band or other entertainment.

Excellent place for food in the area. Very similar menu to 49th state brewing company in Anchorage. I believe they are owned by the same people. Excellent food and service in an interesting atmosphere. Many good features on the menu to include their signature salmon bake to elk burgers.

The salmon back is always a fun restaurant to visit if you have a tour booked for denali or if your just passing through to fairbanks. I am unfamiliar with the buildings history, but once inside it has a tavern feel to it. They always have a great menu that ranges from comfort food to seafood. I haven't ordered anything that was bad. Their salads are huge. It's such a visited tourist location that they started allowing people to write on currency from their country and staple it to the walls. One of the better restaurants in that area.

This was so great! It is a different place than the Fairbanks one. This is a sit down restaurant with 49th brewery beers. The blue margaritas are fantastic! They have a couple vegetarian/vegan options even!! Def recommend!

This was the best eating experience we had in Alaska! Erin, our waitress, was very friendly and went the extra mile. She even brought us a sampling of their delicious clam chowder! Our drinks and dinner were reasonably priced... everything was delivered in a timely manner and the way we ordered it. Salmon Bake is a must if you are visiting either the Healy or Denali area. And ask for Erin - she is the best!

Wow what a dog. Great place for a quick meal. Get a bloody Mary with a beer chaser.

Really good fish and chips. Husband had the Yak Quesidilla. Pretty good. Not much difference in taste than burger. Grandson had the cedar wood salmon. He liked everything but the glaze so scraped it off. We're from the South so prices have been a shock. $87 for lunch, included tip. No alcohol, 3 people. Super nice wait staff and friendly locals.

I'm so glad I decided to go here on a whim! The staff is very, very friendly. Service is fast. There is free WiFi. The food is also great! It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'd say it's worth it. Would recommend and come again.

Awesome atmosphere, you can be seated upstairs for a more lively sceene or downstairs for more quiet dining. Staff seemed happy, were helpful and friendly. Quick service. Drinks were large, food was fantastic. I actually sat inside, but had a perfect view of the mountains. Would def recommend!

Great food, excellent service. Try their award winning BBQ ribs, they run out fast. I also recommend their dessert.

Good food and cozy place.

A unique experience! Each section of the restaurant tilted in one manner or another. I stayed busy taking in all the authentic Alaskan decor on the walls and shelves. We left our meal choices up to our waitress, Anna, and she picked the perfect dishes for us! We ate yak and reindeer, and shared a delicious Alaskan blueberry pie for dessert. Thanks Anna! Awesome experience! Great service!

Food and service were both amazing. We had the smoked salmon BLT and yak-a-dilla. Not 5 stars just because it was cold in there when we went. I think there was a problem with the heating.

Such an authentic place. You can tell how many people have enjoyed meals here. It is a fantastic place. After a day in the park they offer great local beers and yak-adillas, elk burgers, crab grilled cheese, salmon, and of course all the classic food you would expect. The floor is crooked and half of the building looks like it is falling down, but that just makes it all the more authentic. The staff knows the menu well and they are all so professional and helpful. There are also events going on all the time and it gets lively late at night.

Good food and great service. It is really quite nice inside. The outside certainly doesn't reflect it. Friends had halibut and chips and enjoyed. I had my first elk burger and it was tasty. Steak sandwich was also tasty. A lot of beers to select from. I recommend the 907 lager.

Friendly, helpful staff, fun atmosphere, and amazing food. The halibut tacos are outstanding. Everything that went past our table looked great, too.

Could not of asked for a better experience. The last time I was in Denali it was 10 years ago and it jumpstarted my love for nature and wildlife, now I am going to school for wildlife conservation. But I also remembered the amazing time I had in the little town, now 10 years later I am back and it still has an amazing atmosphere and energy. Our server Erin was so down to earth, funny, and created our first experience at Salmon Bake, a memorable one. I was also happy to find that a young man named Josh is from my neck of the woods and that I went to school with a cousin of his. It is the wonderful people in customer service, like Erin and Josh, that makes traveling and experiencing new things, so much more worth it, than just enjoying nature. Shows that even a small corner of the world, like Denali, still has wonderful and good people in it. Sincerely, a new fan of fish and chips, Jordan S.

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Food is good and portions are a good size. The elk burger and crab grilled cheese were great. The Cobb salad is Huge. Lots of decor to see on the walls and ceiling.

Well if you like large scale Buffett type outdoor serving with over priced awful tasting foods and snacks then you found your place.This place was super expensive and pretty Bad

Two of our tables orders did not arrive until some we're done. One order was wrong. Ran out of root beer so only one of the twins got theirs (not good for any twin to get something the other doesn't). The halibut fish and chips was warm but not hot. The pork nachos were supposed to have bar-b-que sauce and it finally came but the pork was cold and the chips soggy when it finally arrived.

Josh from West Virginia, was attentive, friendly, enthusiastic, and the best waiter I've had in a very long time. As someone with a Food and Beverage background, Josh is an extremely valuable employee! Thank you Josh for making our visit the best experience!

LOVED IT! Great service from Josh! Fun atmosphere, good beer, good food at reasonable prices. So full, took chocolate and blueberry pies to go, also delicious! Two halibut tacos was plenty to eat with shared yak quesadillas. Great place!

Our three nights here at the park we ate here every night! No need to go anywhere else when you find this good. Loved the Halibut Fish Tacos (and Blueberry Pie)! Erin took wonderful care of us. Highly recommended.

Ambiance = excellent. Casual and fun. The Bake Mistake = delish cocktail for two. Smoked salmon app two thumbs. Salmon entree - going to be awesome I am absolutely sure.

The burgers are delicious! The food is normal prices for Alaska and the portions are generous. Eli was a wonderful waiter! The entire staff was extremely friendly. The next time we drive through we'll be stopping again.

This place was awesome!! Are waiter was Eli and i could ask for no better service. He was nice, respectful, and had amazing manors!! they had amazing decor and they were so cool. i would highly recommend!!

Fantastic burgers & great friendly service. Justin was our server & we immediately made a connection since my husband & I were from the south too. Burger was juicy & amazing kind of sauce that is maybe a mayo/surracha dip. Thank you to Justin for the great service & info on the local area.

We here for beer and burger $6 but I order King of all cobbs salad. It huge!! I am good with the food here and my husband like the burger too.The restaurant look interesting, it laid forward. I ask some of employee here she said land get soft and fall down ,that make the building this way.
